Night shift tonight. 8pm-8am ā°ļø
Time for a good read š whilst my client gets some rest š“.
This service provides respite for a daughter whom is a full-time carer. My client does not sleep well and is awake a lot in the night. This is sometimes termed sundowner's syndrome which can be a symptom of dementia. This can be behaviours such as difficilty sleeping, disorientation, anxiety, hallucinations, agitation and pacing. These symptoms of sundowner's syndrome can take a huge toll on full-time carers wellbeing and mental state if not managed well. It's so important, especially in cases like these, for carers to get a break no matter how small and switch off. Having that to look forward to can make all the difference. āØļø
